Why Shirdi in America®?
The need for Shirdi in America® temple and spiritual center is that it replicates the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi when it started nearly one hundred years ago. There are many Indian Americans, especially, senior citizens, people on nonimmigrant visas, might find it difficult to travel to Shirdi, India often or in their lifetime. But, would like to experience in the north American setting. This applies especially to children born in the U.S.A. Franklin Township, with its history of embracing diversity has been chosen as the perfect location as it offers easy access and welcoming environment.
The architecture of the Shirdi in America® temple and spiritual center is planned to reflect a synthesis of arts, the ideals of dharma, beliefs, values and the traditional ways of life cherished like that in Shirdi.
